K&J - Pond P

This treatment system treats several discharges to Chest Creek. The discharges are collected and directed into three vertical flow limestone beds that are followed by a settling pond and a constructed polishing wetland. The vertical flow limestone beds contain a total of 6,000 tons of limestone and are equipped with separate plumbing systems that are used to flush solids from the limestone. The flushing systems discharge to an independent flushing pond that retains these solids.
