BOTANICAL GARDENS

The Botanic Gardens of Western PA (BGWP) is currently building The Pittsburgh Botanic Garden.  The site is located in Settlers Cabin Park in Allegheny County.  The site has been repeatedly mined for coal and has numerous legacy problems.  As a first step in the development of the Botanic Garden, a site wide reclamation and remining project is being undertaken. Hedin Environmental is managing these activites for the BGWP.
